Open Calls

Pandemic Collective is horrified to announce an open call for musicians

We are looking for bands or musicians that are available for performances in February, as well as musicians who would like to be considered for future productions and collaborations.

Our February show is titled A(nother) Night of Grand Guignol. Le Théâtre du Grand-Guignol was a Victorian theatre in Paris that specialized in showcasing the most stylized, gory and shocking horror theatre in the world. Founded in melodrama, the Grand Guignol’s plays were meant to stun and terrorize audiences; and the theatre even boasted an on-staff doctor to resuscitate victimized patrons. Our fourth presentation of Grand Guignol will showcase two timeless scripts originally performed in the 1900's, revived for a second life in Denver.

Rehearsals will begin in late January, and performances are on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 8 PM from February the 7th through the 23rd. We are looking for a killer musician or band to underscore the scripts, (the two scripts run ten to twenty minutes long,) and play a fifteen to twenty minute set between the plays every evening during the performance, (what you play during this set is completely up to you, we want to showcase your work!) We ask that musicians attend a few rehearsals during our tech week, (February the 4th through the 6th,) and this position will be paid a stipend.

We are also seeking bands and musicians for future productions and performances. We love to collaborate with driven artists that are passionate about developing new work as part of a brave collective.
