May 2015

The Blood Countess was conjured once more in Blood Bath, a one-woman play following the life and punishment of the Countess Erzebet Bathory, alleged as one of the most prolific and bloodthirsty female serial killers in history. The origin of the vampire myth, she purportedly tortured and killed over 650 virgins before bathing in their blood as a beauty ritual. The location of her corpse is unknown to this day, some say she walks among us. This remounted production featured live music by one of Denver's most chilling avant-garde musicians, and was performed and written by Pandemic Collective's Artistic Director Rhea Amos.

Blood Bath ran from May 14th - 16th at The Bakery Arts Warehouse in Denver.
